Meet The Face Behind HERR design
I’m Natalie Stauffer, proud owner of HERR design.
I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.
Since 2008, I’ve worked in various aspects of fabricating, sales, and building, but my foundational experience developed from growing up on job sites with my dad, a journeyman carpenter and longtime contractor. After working in lighting and plumbing sales for a number of years, I started HERR design in 2012 so that I could use my industry experience to better the quality of interior design for our clients’, contractors’, and builders’ projects. Initially, it was a part-time project, but in 2016, I made the leap into designing spaces full-time. This summer, I will be completing my first commercial projects, where I was able to use everything I learned from my training and experience, these projects have challenged me, but also have been the most incredibly moments in my professional life. Now, I am actively working to build my business so I can best serve all of my clients.
Many of the clients I work with are building their dream home and it is electrifying share in their excitement. These projects are literal their dreams coming to life and I am honored to be part of it. There is no greater reward than watching a client face when they see their completed space and love it. My dedication and expertise ensure I can make this happen consistently.
‘Take care of your clients, and they’ll take care of you,’ is the mantra I work with. If I do a great job designing a space for my clients, they will ensure my success and refer me to their friends.
As an individual, I believe what sets me apart from the others is my passion for what I do, my dedication for my clients and my respect for my trades. I also believe in working with, and I try to live my life and run my business as honestly and authentically as I can.
Away from work, I paint, draw, and garden. I love growing food, hate non-native grass, and believe in sustainable living. I firmly believe in building community and supporting people in that community. In addition to other charities, Cornerstone Counselling Centre is one charity that is very important to me. They are a counselling centre with a mission to ensure that professional counselling is accessible and affordable to all. They do this by offering their services on a sliding scale, so people with no or low income can have the same access to long-term mental health support as those with comfortable incomes and employee benefits.
I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things that matter to me and how these values influence the way I do business.
